better day

yesterday afternoon we had a really good snorkel, this water goes from inches to hundreds of feet in a football field length, drop offs are spooky. The guys met a local when they were out fishing, he said his family owned 2 of the sandy beach islands (VERY SMALL) and invited us to visit and swim. Lizzie took botchee(sp?) balls, we played with Henley on his white beach. This is very picturesque, looks just like what the South Pacific should liik like. Some places in the Marovo Lagoon remind me of Manihi and Bora Bora. Jim is fishing again this morning, now that the rain has stopped, will go for a snorkel later, back to Henley’s island. Then to “Miami” for sundowners. We have never had such a social life.

I sure am missing you all much, not enough family visits this year, we’re starting to plan our treck back to OZ. We think we will leave Solomon’s by the 1st of Sept. Stay in the Louisiades will depend on the weather window out. If we see a good 4 to5 day window when we get there we may just truck on. Or could be stuck therer for weeks. We really do want to see Great Barrier and a bit more of Australia. We’ll see……
